How Are Porcelain Veneers Placed?
Generally, it requires two visits to get porcelain veneers placed on your teeth. First, you will schedule a consultation, and we will take a mold of your teeth. We will also match the shade of your porcelain veneers to the shade of your surrounding teeth. This impression will be sent to the lab, where your porcelain veneers will be made.
Once we get your veneers back, we will let you know that you can call our office and schedule an appointment. Before we place the veneers on your teeth, we will evaluate the fit and shape of the veneers, and we will make sure that they match the color of your teeth.
We will clean your teeth thoroughly before applying the veneers to make sure we do not trap any bacteria in between the veneers and your teeth. We will use dental cement to bond the veneers to each tooth, and we will use a special light to cure the cement and ensure the veneers adhere thoroughly.
We will give you a chance to evaluate the veneers before we are done and we will make sure you are satisfied with the results.
